In ICC World Cup T20 series, New Zealand won the
match against Australia by 8 runs. Australia made 134 runs with loss of 9
wickets. New Zealand Batsman who scored the highest run was Martin Guptill, who
scored 39 runs in 27 balls. New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first.
Both Australia and New Zealand played for their first T20 match against each other in 2005. In the history of T20, the teams have played 5 matches against each other, where Austraila won 4 and one was a tie breaker. Till date neither Australia, nor New Zealand have won the T20 World Cup.
