In ICC World Cup T20 series, England won the match against South Africa
by 2 wickets. South Africa made 229 runs with loss of 4 wickets, leaving a big
score for England to chase. England's batsman Joe Root scored 83 runs in 44
balls and was a game changer for the match. England won the toss and opted to
bowl. The match was held at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai.
In the history of T20, England and South Africa have played 12 matches against each other, out of which SA won 7, ENG won 3 and one was canceled. Also we would like to highlight that ENG had won the T20 world cup in 2010.
