In ICC World Cup T20
series, Australia won the match against Pakistan by 21 runs. Australia made a
score of 193 runs with loss of 4 wickets and Pakistan made 172 runs with loss
of 8 wickets.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat. Pakistan vs Australia was held at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali.
From Australia, highest scoring batsman were Steven Smith who scored 61 runs in 43 balls and Shane Watson, who scored 44 runs in 21 balls.
Australia has secured first position in ICC one day rankings but unfortunately has not won a T20 World Cup whereas Pakistan has won T20 World Cup in 2009. Australia and Pakistan have played 13 T20 matches against each other, out of which Pak won has 7 matches, Australia has won 5 matches and one was a draw. In ICC T20 rankings, Australia is on 6th position and Pakistan on 7th position.
